Frampton boost for Wimbledon

Andy Frampton has given AFC Wimbledon a much-needed fitness boost by coming through an outing with the club's development squad.

The experienced defender has been sidelined for five weeks after suffering a broken ankle, but he got 69 minutes under his belt in a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient's reserves. With the Dons having leaked nine goals in their last three matches, 35-year-old Frampton could now be in the frame for a first-team return at Accrington on Saturday. Tom Beere scored the opener for Wimbledon and set up trialist Chinedu Vine for their second.
