Hartlepool boss Ronnie Moore is delighted to have on-loan Scunthorpe defender David Mirfin available for the rest of the season.
The 29-year-old centre-half has made six starts for Pools since arriving at the start of February and will play a key role in their survival bid after extending his stay at Victoria Park. "We're delighted to get it done because he's been a good addition for us," Moore told the club's official website. "He's got good experience and has certainly helped Scott Harrison alongside him as well as acting as a good example for our other young defenders." Mirfin progressed through Huddersfield's academy and went on to make over 175 appearances for them before joining the Iron in a £150,000 deal in August 2008. He moved on to Watford in the summer of 2011 before returning to Scunthorpe, initially on loan, in July 2012.
