Turner unhappy with defending

Image: Turner: Felt defending was abysmal

Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner felt his side contributed to their own downfall as they were beaten 3-2 at Notts County.

Francois Zoko gave the hosts the lead before two goals in a minute - Matt Richards from the penalty spot and a stunning individual strike from Jermaine Grandison - put the Shrews ahead. But Jeff Hughes levelled the scores and substitute Lee Hughes clinched all three points for County. Turner said: "I feel disappointed to leave with nothing, particularly because of the manner of the goals we have conceded. "It is criminal to concede a winner away from home five minutes before the end but when you examine the goals we've played a massive part in our downfall. "Each of the goals were poor - you can't defend like we've done and be so naive. We will have a look at it and examine it and make sure it doesn't happen again."
