Redshaw happy with Dale return

Jack Redshaw was happy to show the Rochdale faithful what they missed out on after firing Morecambe to victory at Spotland.
Redshaw joined Dale in summer 2010 but was released at the end of the subsequent campaign, making only three appearances having been struck down by a debilitating virus. But the 21-year-old former Manchester City youngster took his tally for this season to five at the weekend, sinking John Coleman's side with a goal in each half. "It was nice to show the Rochdale supporters what I can do," Redshaw told the Manchester Evening News. "I never got the chance when I was there and, to be fair, I had a virus that I couldn't shake off. But there's nothing better than coming back and scoring the goals that win the game." He added: "Joining Morecambe has improved my all-round game. I'd always been regarded as a bit of a fox in the box, but my work rate and play outside the area has improved, and it was nice to go back to Rochdale and show that."
