Martin Allen blasted Notts County's defensive display as they let a 1-0 lead vanish to suffer a 2-1 defeat at Sheffield United in League One.
Alan Judge's 17th-minute free-kick had the Magpies ahead before Ryan Flynn equalised unmarked with a pinpoint shot in the 32nd minute, with the Blades eventually capitalising on a defensive lapse to force an own goal from Alan Sheehan in the 51st minute. With the Blades having already earned a seventh straight win in all competitions, Magpies' substitute Ishmel Demontagnac was sent off for violent conduct in stoppage time. County boss Allen said: "In the second-half we gave a good account of ourselves against a good side but bad errors cost us the game. "The defending was poor. They were basic schoolboy errors. "We've been punished and rightly so."
