Barraclough keen on Notts post

Sligo Rovers boss Ian Baraclough has hinted he may be interested in the vacant managerial post at his former club Notts County.
However, the 42-year-old insists he has not been contacted by the Magpies and has described reports linking him with the job as "nothing but speculation." Baraclough, a player at Meadow Lane between 1995 and 1998, has been touted as a contender to succeed Chris Kiwomya who left Notts last weekend following 10 defeats in 13 Sky Bet League One matches. Baraclough will be out of contract with Irish side Sligo following Sunday's FAI Cup final against Drogheda United. He told The Evening Herald: "I had a call from someone at the local newspaper who asked if I'd be interested, with me being out of contract in a week's time how could I say I wasn't interested? "But as far as me going anywhere, it's pure media speculation. I haven't had any call or contact with anyone at Notts County and whatever has been reported is nothing but speculation." Former Scunthorpe manager Baraclough has made an impression in his two seasons in Ireland, leading Sligo to their first league title in 35 years last season and an FAI Cup final appearance this season.
