Torquay boss Martin Ling praised playmaker Eunan O'Kane for his second-half double in the 3-1 Devon derby win over Plymouth.
O'Kane sparked life into a scrappy derby with his measured 47th-minute strike from outside the penalty area and then chipped home from 35 yards two minutes later to put the Gulls in charge. Danny Stevens increased the home side's lead when he ended a solo run with a crisp 69th-minute effort before Will Atkinson slid in for a 78th-minute consolation goal for basement side Argyle. Ling said: "His [O'Kane's] first goal was out of this world but the second was probably the best goal I have seen anyone of my players score. It was absolutely phenomenal." The Gulls boss also shed light on his side's second-half improvement and added: "I spoke to the players at half-time and said we were not passing with a purpose and a tempo. It was all a little bit scrappy and Plymouth were working hard. "I said we need to move the ball quicker but I did not expect us to come flying out of the blocks like we did in the second half. "Eunan has scored two absolute corkers and made our life a lot easier from then onwards. We did not work Plymouth's goalkeeper at all in the first half and that's what I said to them at half-time."
