Evans hints at United arrival

Rotherham boss Steve Evans will enter the loan market this week and has hinted at a player arriving from Manchester United.

The Millers, who are unbeaten in League One, took on a United XI in a behind-closed-doors friendly last week and Evans struck up a friendship with David Moyes. And the Millers boss is hopeful that may bear fruit in the transfer market when the window reopens on Tuesday. "We might try to do business with them," Evans said. "Their players are sought after, but David Moyes is well aware of our stadium and what the chairman has done here and he was impressed with us. "The conversation developed quickly and very interestingly." Evans insists that players will arrive even if they are not from Old Trafford. "It will happen, 100 per cent," he added. "It could be two, maybe three. We are working on a couple of things and are waiting for answers. "We want to add some quality to our squad. I have to make sure if we are going to add players they are capable of displacing the players we have. "I'd like to bring another wide player in and probably one more central midfielder but it has to be someone who adds something on top of what we have got and believe me we are good."
