Town agree fee for Stanley star

Shrewsbury have finally agreed an undisclosed fee with Accrington for the transfer of striker Terry Gornell.

Shrews revealed in early July that they had agreed terms with the striker but were yet to reach a deal with their League Two rivals. But that has now been completed and the move rubber stamped, with Gornell - who has already been playing for Town in pre-season - poised to make his competitive debut in Saturday's League Two opener at home to Plymouth. The Liverpool-born 21-year-old was joint-top scorer for Stanley last year, bagging 13 goals in League Two.
