Boro get the better of Daggers

Michael Bostwick and Mark Roberts were on target as Stevenage beat Dagenham 2-1 in their pre-season friendly.
Bostwick put the visitors ahead after just eight minutes when he headed past Daggers goalkeeper James Shea at the far post. And they were 2-0 up in the second half when an unmarked Roberts swept the ball home following a corner. Dagenham pulled one back when Alex Osborn's shot was parried by Boro keeper Alan Julian and Brian Woodall followed up to score. Jake Reed had a late chance to snatch a draw but put his shot narrowly wide.
