Chesterfield chief executive Carol Wilby will step down from her position at the end of December, the club have announced.

Wilby, a former director of a local publishing company, took up the role almost two years ago to the day - on December 23, 2009 - to help oversee the club's move to the B2net Stadium. A statement on Chesterfield's official website read: "The club wishes to thank Carol for her excellent contribution to the football club's historic move to its new home. "A further announcement regarding a successor will be made shortly." Former Sheffield Wednesday manager and director of football at Hartlepool Chris Turner is expected to replace Wilby.
