Notts County midfielder Neil MacKenzie has flown to Germany for surgery to cure a hernia problem. The 31-year-old has been playing through the pain barrier for several weeks but travelled to Munich with County physio John Haselden on Monday. "Neil will have his operation tomorrow (Tuesday) and he will be missing next week," Magpies manager Ian McParland told the club's official website. "It will be good to get the injury cleared up and to have him back in time for the Lincoln game (November 24) would be fantastic. "But we will have to see about that. The main thing is getting the injury sorted."
