Oldham's on-loan goalkeeper Marlon Beresford has returned to Luton after suffering a hamstring injury. Beresford limped out of the warm-up before Saturday's 2-2 FA Cup first-round draw with Doncaster and was replaced by fellow veteran Mark Crossley. And the Latics are expected to try and draft in a replacement ahead of this weekend's League One clash with Port Vale. Crossley has been struggling with thigh and back strains, while fellow stopper Les Pogliacomi is out for around a month with a knee ligament injury, leaving the Boundary Park outfit without a fully-fit goalkeeper.
