Lincoln v Notts Co preview

Image: Jackson: Still waiting for win

Jamie Forrester and Dany N'Guessan could return for Lincoln, while Neil McKenzie may figure for Notts County.

Both teams hope to welcome back players

Jamie Forrester and Dany N'Guessan could return for Lincoln, while Neil McKenzie may figure for Notts County. Striker Forrester missed last week's defeat at Wycombe with a thigh strain, while midfielder N'Guessan was suffering from an ankle problem. But manager Peter Jackson will be without forward Ollie Ryan, who starts a three-game ban following his dismissal at Adams Park. Jackson faces a selection dilemma up front, with teenager Lenell John-Lewis pressing his claim for a place in the starting line-up after making his senior debut from the bench last week, so the Imps boss must decide between John-Lewis and Forrester for a starting place alongside Ben Wright. Jackson is chasing his first win as manager at bottom club Lincoln, who have lost their last four league matches and are without a win in their last 12.

Magpies news

Meanwhile, Magpies midfielder MacKenzie is hoping to be in the starting line-up following hernia surgery. The 31-year-old had an operation in Germany on Tuesday last week and started light running last Friday before returning to full training on Thursday. Jason Lee is still three weeks away from a return from his broken arm, while Andy Parkinson is continuing to undergo treatment on the groin injury which forced him off against Macclesfield last weekend. Midfielder Jay Smith is also unlikely to feature after undergoing an MRI scan on Thursday on the groin injury which has kept him out for two months.
