Cavanagh to undergo hernia operation
Accrington Stanley captain Peter Cavanagh is out until Christmas with a hernia problem.
Cavanagh missed Saturday's 0-0 draw at Hereford United and will undergo surgery on his hernia on Wednesday.
He is expected to be sidelined for between three and four weeks, and aims to return for the festive programme.
A statement from the club said: "Following the operation the Stanley captain will undergo a short period of rehabilitation at Lilleshall before returning to the club's medical staff."
The defender, who joined Stanley in 2001, has started 14 games in League Two this season for John Coleman's side.
