Striker keen to sort out deal at Galpharm

Phil Jevons has confirmed his intention to secure a permanent deal at Huddersfield Town. The striker is currently on loan at the Galpharm Stadium from Bristol City and has impressed for the League One club. Huddersfield boss Andy Ritchie has already voiced his determination to agree a permanent deal and Jevons would be happy to stay. "I said when I first came to Huddersfield that I wanted a permanent deal and nothing has changed," Jevons told the Bristol Evening Post.

Great club

"This is a great club with a great set of players and I would love to remain here. "There is not much more I can say because it is down to the business people at both clubs. But I really hope they get something sorted." City boss Gary Johnson confirmed he is waiting to hear from Ritchie as he weighs up Jevons' future at Ashton Gate. Johnson said: "I have not heard from Andy Ritchie yet, but I am quite prepared to speak with him. "If we feel an extension of the loan deal is the right thing for Phil Jevons and the football club, then something might happen. "As regards anything longer term, I don't know, we will have to wait and see. Obviously, that will depend on what Jevo wants."
