Christmas is a time for giving - and Sky Sports is giving you all the live football you need over the holiday period.

It's the most magical time of the year - and that's especially true if you're a football fan this Christmas. Sky Sports has a bumper programme of live games throughout the Christmas and New Year period with all the big clashes from the Premier League as well as the top games from the Championship. Here is our guide to what you can enjoy over the holidays:

Saturday 29th December

Sheffield United v Crystal Palace
(12.30pm, Sky Sports 1) The atmosphere will be electric at Bramall Lane as Neil Warnock returns for the first time since leaving the Blades at the end of last season. However, there will be no room for sentiment as Warnock's Palace chase three points to pull them clear of the drop zone. Bryan Robson's United side are challenging at the other end of the table and with James Beattie in the side, goals are always likely.
Coventry City v Ipswich Town
(5.15pm, Sky Sports 1) Ipswich are the Jekyll and Hyde team of the Championship - unbeatable at home, but yet to win a game on their travels this season. They'll be looking to break that duck at the Ricoh Arena against a Coventry side that are having a tremendous season when you consider their off-field problems. This one could go either way.

Sunday 30th December

Derby v Blackburn
(1pm, Sky Sports 1) Our festive Super Sunday kicks off at Pride Park where Derby will be hoping to turn around their fortunes against Blackburn. The Rams are bottom of the pile after a difficult start to the campaign, but new boss Paul Jewell will be hoping to inspire an improvement ahead of the New Year. Rovers are a good bet for the Uefa Cup spots again and boast one of the Premier League's most impressive players in David Bentley.
Man City v Liverpool
(4pm, Sky Sports 1) We bring another great year of live football on Sky Sports to a close at the City of Manchester Stadium as Liverpool bid to kick-start their title charge against high-flying City. Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard will bring an element of undisputed class to the occasion, but City's home record is second-to-none, so we should be in for a treat in our final game of 2007.

New Year's Day

Fulham v Chelsea
(12noon, Sky Sports 1) Football in 2008 kicks off at Craven Cottage as West London rivals Fulham and Chelsea go head-to-head. There is never any love lost when these two teams meet and the Cottagers boast a good record against their more prestigious rivals in recent seasons. However, Avram Grant will be desperate to start the New Year with a win as the Blues bid to reclaim the Premier League title.
Aston Villa v Tottenham
(5pm, Sky Sports 1) Remember when these two teams clashed at White Hart Lane earlier this season? Spurs fought back from 4-1 down in the final 15 minutes to snatch a thrilling 4-4 draw on a memorable night in North London. We might not get eight goals this time, but if this return match is half as good as that game then we are in for a treat.

Wednesday 2nd January

Bolton v Derby
(7.30pm, Sky Sports 1) It's perhaps a little bit early to be talking about relegation six-pointer, but this game could have huge implications at the bottom of the Premier League. Derby have been rooted to the bottom for much of the campaign, while Bolton have made strides under new manager Gary Megson in recent weeks. This should be a thrilling way to end a fabulous festive feast of football!
