Midfielders missing for Dale, defender out for Bees

Rochdale are without two midfielders for the game against Barnet, who are short defensively. David Perkins and John Doolan will both sit out Saturday's fixture, providing the frost does not make the Spotland pitch unplayable. Perkins is suspended, while Doolan is expected to be out for several weeks with a hamstring injury. Striker Chris Dagnall is making slow progress, but remains sidelined due to cruciate knee ligament damage. Last weekend's clash with Notts County at Spotland was postponed due to a frozen pitch, but Dale officials are hopeful the Bees' visit will not suffer the same fate.

Barnet news

Joe O'Ceaurill misses out for Barnet to leave manager Paul Fairclough with a defensive dilemma. O'Ceaurill was sent off in the 4-1 defeat at Lincoln and must now serve a one-match suspension. Sagi Burton remains on the sidelines with a knee ligament injury, leaving Fairclough hard pressed to find a partner for captain Ismail Yakubu, with Nicky Nicolau the obvious option. It will be a straight choice between Liam Hatch and Giuliano Grazioli to partner Adam Birchall in attack.
