Oldham v Yeovil preview

Image: Sheridan: Has injury problems

11th play 12th as Yeovil travel to Boundary Park for a play-off chasing clash against Oldham.

Battle of the also-rans at Boundary Park

Oldham host Yeovil at Boundary Park with both clubs well aware they must start picking up victories now, if they are to have any chance of gate-crashing the play-off party. Latics chief John Sheridan, whose side sits one place and a solitary point behind Yeovil, has promised all-out attack from here-on-in but is hampered by a number of injuries. Lee Hughes remains sidelined with the groin strain that has seen him miss the last three matches, while defenders John Thompson and Sean Gregan remain long-term absentees. JP Kalala is another that occupies a congested treatment room, leaving Sheridan precious little room for maneuver in terms of the side he selects.

Few changes

Yeovil boss Russell Slade could name an unchanged team from the side that secured their first win in nine matches, when they beat Northampton 1-0 on Tuesday night with a last-minute Terry Skiverton goal. However, the temptation will be to hand Martin Woods a debut following his loan capture from Doncaster. With first-choice goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall out for six to eight weeks with knee ligament damage, on-loan Scott Flinders should retain his place after making his debut against the Cobblers only hours after arriving from Crystal Palace. Midfielder Marc Bircham and defender Terrell Forbes are set to miss out with groin injuries, while there is a slight doubt over striker Marcus Stewart (thigh).
