Ten-man Leeds see off Swindon

Jermaine Beckford grabbed a clinical double as ten-man Leeds defeated Swindon 3-1 in an ill-tempered County Ground clash. Beckford gave the visitors the lead after 21 minutes with his ninth goal of the season. And the 24-year-old talisman was on hand to slide home United's third goal with seven minutes remaining. Simon Cox equalised for Swindon on the stroke of half-time but Neil Kilkenny restored United's advantage shortly after the restart and Beckford applied the coup de grace late on. The match saw no fewer than seven bookings, and the sending-off of defender Alan Sheehan for a foul on Jon-Paul McGovern after just eight minutes.
