Imps rally to deny Dale

Lincoln came from behind to hold Rochdale to a 1-1 draw and salvage a late point.

Hone strike salvages point

Rochdale were denied all three points as Lincoln salvaged a point in a 1-1 draw. Dale went in front with an excellent goal after 26 minutes from Adam Rundle. The midfielder pounced on a poor defensive clearance and smashed the ball into the back of the net from 25-yards. The goal stunned the Imps who had looked in complete control without managing to find a way through as Lee Frecklington and Dany N'Guessan both went close for the home team early on. Rochdale frustrated the home team throughout the second-half with City manager Peter Jackson eventually sent to the stands following an outburst. Dale always looked dangerous on the break and Gary Jones missed a great chance to increase their lead when he shot over with 14 minutes to play. The miss cost Rochdale as four minutes from time Lincoln sub Stefan Oakes sent a deep cross into the box which was finished off by the hosts defender Danny Hone.
