Terriers boss undeterred by fans reaction to Posh game
Stan Ternent has stated that he is not afraid of getting the sack despite the indifferent form of his Huddersfield Town side.
The Huddersfield manager's comments came after he saw his side comprehensively beaten 4-0 by Peterborough United on Saturday.
Disgruntled Huddersfield supporters were heard calling for the manager's head as Peterborough tore the visitors to shreds as Posh made it nine unbeaten in League One.
Huddersfield's misery was completed when captain Chris Lucketti was sent-off in stoppage time following a professional foul on Posh striker Craig Mackail-Smith.
Despite the defeat Ternent maintained he was the right man for the job.
He said: "I want to be spending my Christmas Day travelling to Carlisle as manager of Huddersfield Town, but if that does not happen I will eat Christmas dinner at home.
"As the manager I can only be as good, bad or indifferent as the players I select. I always pick what I believe to be my best team, but things haven't been going for us lately.
"The players need a lift and some backing. That said, we came up against an extremely good Peterborough side who will definitely take a lot of beating in their current form."
