Stanley seals win

Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson came under fire from the fans again as Morecambe won away for only the second time this season with a 2-1 win at Saltergate. The home fans called for Richardson to go as his team again made defensive errors to ruin Martin Gritton's home debut. The striker scored for the second week running but it was not enough to deny Morecambe who were good value for their victory. After a poor first half, Rene Howe dived to head in his 10th of the season in the 54th minute but Gritton levelled three minutes later with a low drive from the edge of the area. Morecambe went back ahead in the 65th minute when Craig Stanley guided a Neil Wainwright cross past Tommy Lee from close range and this time there was no way back for Chesterfield.
