Captain scores first goals of the season in victory

Skipper Scott Kerr scored his first goals of the season to secure a 2-0 win at Accrington and ensure Lincoln still have a chance of making the play-offs. Kerr opened the scoring in the fourth minute, getting on the end of Adrian Patulea's cross and firing low into the net. And he doubled his tally when Stanley lost the ball five minutes after the restart and the 27-year-old was allowed time and space to run into the area and fire under goalkeeper Kenny Arthur. The Imps also had ex-Tottenham goalkeeper Rob Burch to thank for the win as he pulled off a string of superb saves to make sure Accrington's six-game unbeaten run came to an end. Burch pushed over a Craig Lindfield effort and kept out another strike from the on-loan Liverpool forward. His best save came at the end of the first half when a deflection on Jimmy Ryan's 25-yard drive wrong-footed him, but he was alert to change direction.
