Carlisle midfielder Michael Burns has joined Blue Square North side Stafford Rangers on loan for a month. The 21-year-old joined the Cumbrians on trial in January 2009 and was handed an 18-month contract at Brunton Park. Carlisle manager Greg Abbott said: "This is a great chance for Mike to get some competitive first-team football. "Opportunities here were going to be difficult to come by because we have a number of midfielders ahead of him at the moment. "This will get him some valuable pitch time and we think it will be of benefit to both clubs."
