O'Kane keeping calm at Gulls

Eunan O'Kane has insisted Torquay will not get carried away with talk of automatic promotion.

The Gulls' seven-match winning streak came to an end with defeat to Bradford on Saturday, leaving the Devon club fifth in League Two, two points off the top three. While form and momentum favours Torquay in the chase for automatic elevation to League One, O'Kane stressed that it is more important for the Gulls to widen the gap to those chasing a play-off place before he and his team-mates can start to dream of what might be. He said: "The manager has been drilling into us 'one game at a time, one game at a time'. "If you start looking too far ahead then the rest of the teams below us will end up catching up on us so it's really important to keep the focus on the next game. "The manager has had the right attitude with us with that and we know if we keep doing that then it might take us to a special moment."
