GAA: Down face Monaghan, Kildare to meet Armagh in Round 4B of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers
Wednesday 19 July 2017 13:05, UK
Monaghan will hope to exact revenge on Down for dumping them out of the Ulster Championship after being drawn against them in Round 4B of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers.
In the other tie, Armagh manager Kieran McGeeney will face his former side Kildare, who were beaten by Dublin in the Leinster final on Sunday.
Teams are usually prevented from meeting a team they already played at this stage of the qualifiers but Down had beaten both of their potential opponents, Armagh and Monaghan, en route to the Ulster final, where they were beaten by Tyrone on Sunday.
The games are set to be played on the weekend of July 29 and 30. Both matches will be played at a neutral venue which will be decided on Monday afternoon.
