GAA: All-Ireland hurling semi-final draw: Tipperary v Galway and Cork v Waterford

Reigning All-Ireland hurling champions Tipperary will face Leinster champions Galway at Croke Park for the third year in a row in an All-Ireland semi-final.

The match-up is a repeat of this year's National League final in which The Tribesmen were victorious.

The other semi-final sees Munster champions Cork face Waterford, who met in the semi-final of the Munster Championship back on June 16 as Cork earned a five-point win.

The semi-finals will take place at Croke Park, as Galway face Tipperary on August 6 and Cork play Waterford a week later on August 13.

The last two times Galway faced Tipperary in All-Ireland semi-finals, the games were decided by just a single point, with Tipperary victorious last year, and Galway the winners in 2015.

Unfancied Cork are through to their first All-Ireland semi-final since 2014 and will face Waterford at that stage for the first time since 2006, when they squeezed through as reigning by a single point but ultimately lost the final to Kilkenny.
