A League Of Their Own's coverage of hurling drew quite the reaction from fans of the small ball.

The hit Sky One show followed Freddy Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and Rob Beckett as they travelled to Kilkenny as they tried their hand at hurling for the latest challenge in the programme's series finale

The trio honed their skills under the tutelage of Cats legend DJ Carey, before competing in a penalty challenge at half-time of the Kilkenny vs Wexford Leinster SHC game.

Up against them was former Wexford goalkeeper Damien Fitzhenry, as they aimed to stick the ball in the back of the net.

Viewers were certainly entertained by watching the trio take to the ancient Irish sport, with the three enjoying varying degrees of success.
