Jack Nicklaus is joining the Sky Sports studio team - and presenter David Livingstone can't wait...
'Don't miss straight-talking Jack as he delivers his verdict'
From start to finish, The Masters is one of the greatest tournaments on earth.
skysports.com will bring you all the drama as it unfolds and, of course, you can watch all four days live on Sky Sports in the company of our revered commentary team.
From range to clubhouse, tee to green, it's an experience not to be missed - and now he's covered one Masters, presenter David Livingstone can't wait to go back for more...
skysports.com: You visited Augusta for the first time last year. How did it feel to finally be there?
David: Obviously there was a sense of privilege of finally experiencing Augusta first-hand. Like most people, I was struck by the lushness of the surroundings. Even the grass verges around the entrance areas are so dense and green you begin to wonder what the course itself is going to be like, and there's no disappointment when you finally see those fairways and greens close-up.
My other early impression was of how well the tournament caters for its patrons. There are beautiful picnic areas around Amen Corner and prices everywhere are probably the cheapest at any golf tournament I've ever been to.
skysports.com: From a professional point of view, was there a moment that sticks in your mind?
David: Yes, the first few seconds of our Preview Show on the Tuesday night - trying to strike a balance between being so glad to have the Masters on Sky without gushing about it too much. Also, I felt the responsibility of introducing coverage of the Masters that had never been seen before, not just in the build-up to the tournament but also in the extended hours of live golf and the introduction of 3D.
skysports.com: So, with that in mind, what are you most looking forward to this year?
David: Having Jack Nicklaus on our studio team. As things stand, he is still the best golfer there's ever been and his Masters experiences are still the ones golfers of a certain age remember most. Also, as you would expect of someone who's accomplished what he has, he's a straight talker who gives you his opinion with complete honesty and without fear of denting any egos.
skysports.com: What was your favourite on-course moment of the 2011 tournament?
David: Probably Charl Schwartzel's birdie on the 17th. It was such a difficult putt on a notorious green and you just began to feel that something very special was unfolding. Just at that time, there were so many roars around the last few holes with so many players in with a chance of winning. It was an unforgettable atmosphere which I think came across vividly on television.
skysports.com: Who is your one to watch this year?
David: Despite everything that's happened in recent weeks, I have to stick with the player I tipped at the end of last year when the team were making their predictions for the year ahead. At that time, I picked Dustin Johnson and although he's been subdued so far I still think everything about his game is suited to Augusta. Also, if he gets a chance of winning, he won't be frightened of anyone, Tiger Woods included.
