Melissa Reid is looking to cement her place in the Solheim Cup team with a good showing at this weekend's European Masters.
The 27-year-old from Derby is one of 144 competitors teeing it up at the exclusive Buckinghamshire Golf Club near Denham on Thursday.
Reid, part of the victorious Solheim Cup team in Ireland four years ago, is currently second on the European Ladies Tour order of merit.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ the world No 109 said: "This is certainly a special event for all the British girls. The course is always immaculate and it's going to be great weather this week.
"It's nice to get the opportunity for all my family to come down and watch me play in what is one of our signature events."
Reid, who won the Turkish Open last month, is now looking to impress watching Solheim Cup captain Carin Koch, who will lead the team against the United States at Golf Club St. Leon-Rot in Germany later this year.
"We have set new goals and I am looking to perform well this week," she added. "I'm going to have my coach Kev down this week too and it's always nice to be in form at such an important time of our year.
"Especially for me with the Solheim Cup coming up and I just want to keep on with the momentum. If I keep putting the results in then - either get myself in the team or put myself in a great position for a pick.
"As long as I can control what I can control, which is my own game, then that is all I can do. I cannot do anything else."
