Three-time major champion Padraig Harrington will lead a competitive field at next month's Hero Indian Open.

Harrington has announced his intention to play in his first open at the Delhi Golf Club, sanctioned by the Asian and European Tours, which is due to be held between March 17-20.

The field includes Indian defending champion Anirban Lahiri and other past winners including Siddikur Rahman, Thaworn Wiratchant, Mardan Mamat, and Arjun Atwal.

Harrington, a two-time British Open and former US PGA winner, has not played in India since his amateur days almost two decades ago.
