Marc Leishman soaks himself attempting a big splash-out at Doral

Leishman had set the clubhouse target at 68 as one of the early starters

Marc Leishman took "splashing out" to a new level during the first round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship, and ended up giving himself a good soaking.

The Australian pulled his drive too far left and into water on the tough 18th at Doral, but he decided he could get it back onto dry land despite his ball being fully submerged.

Leishman removed his shoes and socks and committed to the shot but, such was the amount of water he disturbed, he struggled to see if he had been successful in getting his ball out of the hazard.

Marc Leishman attempted to play a shot from the water hazard on the 18th at the WGC Cadillac Championship and was duly soaked

A quick glance to the right located his ball in the sand on the edge of the waterline - just a couple of yards away - and he then realised his trousers and shirt had been subjected to a huge soaking.
