The Ladies European Tour team claimed third spot at The Queens team event in Japan, where the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association cruised to victory.
Europe edged past Australian Ladies Professional 9-7 in the third place final of the four-team tournament, as their Korean counterparts thrashed the LPGA of Japan 15-1 in the main final.
Captained by Trish Johnson, Europe won four and halved one of their eight singles matches in a contest which was only settled with the final putt at the last.
Scotland's Catriona Matthew defeated Rachel Hetherington two up to make it three wins out of three over the weekend, while Florentyna Parker beat Sarah Kemp 5&4 and Georgia Hall saw off Katherine Kirk 2&1.
Nanna Koerstz Madsen shared the spoils in her match with Su-Hyun Oh, before a final-hole bogey from Stacey Keating game Sweden's Linda Wessberg victory in the final match.
"The whole team have performed admirably," Johnson said. "You've got a mixture of young players and players that have never played before.
"I can honestly say it's one of the best events I've ever been to. All the players will say what a pleasure it is to play in Japan."
Korea remained unbeaten in the Championship final against the home side, winning seven of the matches and seeing the tie between Seung Hyun Lee and Kotone Hori end all square.
