Cameron Smith holds one-stroke lead at CIMB Classic in Malaysia

Cameron Smith fired a bogey-free 64 to grab a one-shot lead after the opening round of the CIMB Classic.
The Australian posted eight birdies in a blemish-free display in Kuala Lumpur to top the leaderboard ahead of Keegan Bradley, Tour Championship winner Xander Schauffele and Thailand's Poom Saksansin.
American trio Kevin Na, Gary Woodland and Pat Perez sit two off the pace on six under, while defending champion Justin Thomas - chasing a third consecutive victory in the event - opened with a two-under 70.
Smith followed a hat-trick of birdies from the third with gains at the seventh and ninth to reach the turn in 31, before rolling a close-range putt at the 14th and adding picking up shots at the 16th and 17th.
Saksansin posted six birdies after the turn to move up the leaderboard, while Bradley picked up a shot at the last to join the tie for second.
Rafa Cabrera Bello is one of six players sitting on five under, with Thomas Pieters four off the pace on his tournament debut and Ian Poulter five strokes off the pace.
Thomas mixed five birdies with three bogeys to join Hideki Matsuyama in the group on two under, while Paul Casey is third from bottom of the leaderboard after a five-over 77.
