Scott Jamieson moves in to Race to Dubai top-60 at Nedbank Golf Challenge

Scott Jamieson secured a place in the season-ending DP World Tour Championship with a big move up the Race to Dubai standings at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

Highlights from Branden Grace's Nedbank Golf Challenge victory

The Scot narrowly missed out on a first worldwide victory since 2012 as he finished one stroke adrift of Branden Grace at Gary Player CC, posting a two-under 70 to end the week in second spot.

Jamieson began the week 75th in the standings but leapt 52 places in to 23rd position after collecting 712,832 points in South Africa, extending his season for another week.

"I'm sure I'll look back and take great pride with that," Jamieson said. "Played with some of the best players in the world this week and proved that I can compete with them.

"Hopefully I can take something out of it. The goal coming here was to try and get into Dubai and I needed really top eight or something to do that. Second's pretty good."

The world No 277 was one of four players to move inside the top-60 in Sun City, with one-time tournament leader Victor Dubuisson jumping from 73rd to 38th by claiming third spot.

Haydn Porteous went up eight places to 57th position thanks to a tied-12th finish, while Richard Sterne grabbed a share of 19th to move from 61st to 60th in the standings.

English pair Paul Waring and Ian Poulter are the next two players in the list and initially appeared to miss out, but are now both available to feature due to Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson's decision not to play.

Marc Warren, Gregory Bourdy, Sam Brazel and Brandon Stone were the four players to drop out of the field for next week's season finale, while Race to Dubai leader Tommy Fleetwood extended his lead to 256,737 by finishing tied-10th.
