The budding golf stars of the future competed at the 2017 Telegraph Vitality Junior Golf Championship, with extended coverage on Sky Sports Golf.

The North Course at Quinta do Lago in the Algarve hosted the annual event, which has future Ryder Cup stars Matt Fitzpatrick and Andrew Coltart among its former winners.

Report from the 2017 Telegraph Vitality Junior Golf Championship

This time around saw Max Hopkins make history as he became the tournament's youngest-ever champion, with the 14-year-old claiming a three-shot victory over Ben Jones.

The girls' event saw 15-year-old Annabell Fuller, English Girls' under-16 champion, blitz through the field and ease to a 13-stroke win over British Girls' Amateur champion Lily May Humphreys.

Sky Sports were out in Portugal throughout the week filming the event, with a special 30-minute highlights programme available to see the best of the young stars in action.

The highlights will first be aired on Monday November 27 from 6.30pm on Sky Sports Golf, with the show repeated at 8.30pm that evening, 6.30pm on Tuesday November 28 and 12.30pm on Wednesday November 29 plus more in the coming weeks.
