Young players dominated the PGA Tour in 2017, in a year which saw one of the sport’s rising stars claim the FedExCup title for the first time.
Justin Thomas topped the standings and took home the $10m jackpot, with victory in the Tournament of Champions in January the first of five titles in the calendar year.
Thomas joined the "59 club" on his way to ripping up the record books and winning the Sony Open, with the 24-year-old posting further victories at the PGA Championship and Dell Technologies Championship before adding another title during the wraparound season.
Adam Hadwin also posted a sub-60 round at the CareerBuilder Challenge, with the Canadian earning a maiden PGA Tour title later that year and joining the likes of Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau as first-time winners.
Three victories in a six-week stretch saw Dustin Johnson leapfrog Jason Day as world No 1, with Jordan Spieth his nearest challenger after registering three wins and 13 worldwide top 10s during an impressive campaign.
Si Woo Kim became the youngest winner in Players Championship history by securing a three-shot win at TPC Sawgrass, while Hideki Matsuyama stormed to a record-breaking win at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
The FedExCup play-offs produced four different winners, with Xander Schauffele taking the season-ending Tour Championship title on his way to being the PGA Tour's rookie of the year.
