Rafa Cabrera Bello becomes the first man in Players Championship history to make a albatross on the 16th at TPC Sawgrass

Rafa Cabrera Bello returns to the Players Championship this week, a year on from writing his name into the TPC Sawgrass record books.

The Spaniard was five strokes off the pace after 54 holes and slipped further down the leaderboard after playing his first 15 holes in two-over-par on Sunday, only to vault himself back in contention at the par-five 16th.

Cabrera Bello's drive just missed the fairway but didn't stop him taking a bold line with his second shot in an attempt to find the green in two, as he took aim at the flag from 181 yards.

The approach took a big hop forward from just past a pot bunker and ran through the fringe, onto the green and straight into the cup for a spectacular albatross - the first at the hole in the tournament's history!
