Connor Syme nails 60-foot birdie to finish runner-up in Austria

Connor Syme secured the best finish of his career at the inaugural Shot Clock Masters, with the Scot signing off his week with a spectacular finish to his final round.
The 22-year-old only turned professional September and came into the week off the back of three consecutive missed cuts, but responded with a stunning display at Diamond Country Club.
Syme went into the final round in Austria six strokes off the pace and found himself in a share of second as he made his way to the par-three last, where his tee shot finished 60 feet from the pin.
Faced with a seemingly tough two-putt to join Steve Webster, Nicolas Colsaerts, Raphael Jacquelin and Justin Walters, Syme's monster birdie effort found the perfect line as it found the middle of the cup.
Syme's birdie finish leapfrogged him to outright second, securing him a payday of 111,110 euros (£97,000) as Mikko Korhonen claimed his maiden European Tour title.
"I'm absolutely over the moon," Syme told Sky Sports. "That was a massive bonus on the last and you could tell by my reaction how much it meant to me.
