Pro-am format over two venues on Morocco's Atlantic coast

The Moroccan city of Agadir plays host to this week's Trophee Hassan II event on the European Tour. Two outstanding venues on Morocco's Atlantic coast will be used, with the opening 36 holes featuring a typical pro-am format. The established Golf du Palais Royal, designed by famed architect Robert Trent Jones Snr, is the host course, with the two-year-old Golf de L'Ocean also being used during the pro-am part of the tournament on Thursday and Friday. Golf du Palais Royal, which takes centre stage at the weekend, last hosted a European Tour event 12 years ago. So who's chasing the top prize in north Africa this week? Thomas Bjorn: In this less than star-studded field the Dane will fancy his chances of claiming a second Tour title of 2011. He has already won in Qatar. Rafael Cabrera-Bello: Is becoming one of the Tour's most consistent players and could prosper this week in Morocco. During 2011 his finishes read: 7-30-3-20-16-11. Simon Dyson: Has been a little inconsistent of late but did manage to finish in a tie-for-fifth at the recent Sicilian Open. Raphael Jacquelin: Will hope to continue in the rich vein of form that saw him win in Sicily two weeks ago, followed by a top-six finish in Spain on Sunday. Scott Jamieson: Has made an encouraging start to his rookie season on the European Tour with three top-12 finishes in his last four starts. Chris Wood: Remains one of the better players yet to win on Tour. He finished in a tie-for-second at the Africa Open in January.
