Ahead of this week's star-studded BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, let's remind ourselves of how Rory McIlroy roared to the title 12 months ago.

McIlroy famously overturned a seven-shot overnight deficit to fire a closing 66 and clinch a thrilling victory in the European Tour's flagship event.

It was his first professional win on British soil, and it kick-started a memorable year for the world No 1 as he went on to win The Open and the US PGA Championship in a remarkable run of form.
