Some of the biggest names in golf are teeing-up at Wentworth for this week's BMW-sponsored PGA Championship. Once again, the second most prestigious title in European golf has attracted an excellent field with five members of the world's top-12 taking part. The 86-year-old West Course, built by Harry Colt, is one of the most famous parkland venues in the sport. The flat, tree-lined layout underwent a number of changes three years ago, when Ernie Els re-modeled all 18 greens. Ahead of the 2010 tournament, putting surfaces were re-contoured, while a number of new bunkers were added and some existing ones deepened. This year there have been further changes, including the 12th being restored to a par five and a tree removed on 18 to encourage players to attack the green in two. So who's in attendance this week? Luke Donald: The defending champion has an excellent record over the West Course. In addition to his victory 12 months ago, the world No 2 tied-for-second in 2010 and was third two years before that. Matteo Manassero: The West Course appears to hold no fears for the teenage Italian whose brace of appearances have both yielded top-20 finishes. Rory McIlroy: Has a best Wentworth finish of tied-5th and has played pretty solidly during the early months of this year. The Ulsterman lost a play-off at Quail Hollow in early May. Francesco Molinari: Although his Wentworth form is hardly spectacular - he has a highest finish of tied-17th - his game should be suited to this testing layout. Winner in Spain in early May, he has posted top-20 finishes in 10 of his most recent 12 starts. Justin Rose: The US-based Brit is back in town to try and cement his position in Europe's Ryder Cup dozen. He lost a play-off to Anders Hansen in 2007. Lee Westwood: His overall Wentworth record is mediocre by his own high standards but he has certainly played well there since the West Course greens were renovated. He lost a play-off in this tournament 12 months ago.
