Ryder Cup veteran Ian Poulter will get Europe’s bid for a maiden EurAsia Cup win victory underway when he partners Bernd Wiesberger in the Friday fourballs .
The pair go up against Jeung Hun Wang and India's Anirban Lahiri, who suggested earlier this week that Asia go in to this week's tournament as underdogs.
Poulter boasts a strong Ryder Cup record with 13 points in his previous five appearances, with the Englishman now having the chance to impress captain Darren Clarke as he looks to reach his side for Hazeltine this autumn.
"Obviously we all know Poults, we know what he brings to the team," Clarke said. "And to have him leading off Europe, we couldn't ask for a better player.
"With Bernd, you've got a very, very young, exciting talent, who won the French Open last year; it's a very strong pairing. I could say the same about everyone."
Sheffield duo Danny Willett and Matt Fitzpatrick, who memorably had a final-round tussle for victory at July's Omega European Masters, face BMW PGA Champion Byeong Hun An and Thai veteran Thongchai Jaidee at Glenmarie Golf & Country Club.
Victor Dubuisson, the only member of the European team to feature in the inaugural 10-10 draw in 2014, plays alongside Soren Kjeldsen as they take on home pairing Danny Chia and Nicholas Fung.
WGC-Bridgestone Invitational champion Shane Lowry and three-time European Tour winner Andy Sullivan take on Shingo Katayama and Ashun Wu, while Ross Fisher and Kristoffer Broberg entertain Prayad Markasaeng and KT Kim.
Ryder Cup veteran Lee Westwood and fellow Englishman Chris Wood are part of the final fourball to tee off, facing Kiradech Aphibarnrat and SSP Chawrasia.
"You go down to Danny and Fitz, two young guys and everybody has been playing wonderful in practice," Clarke added. "Victor and Soren, Ross and Chris, and finishing off with Lee and Woody is a very strong pairing, as well.
"There isn't one pairing there that stands out to be stronger than anything else."
