We take a look at what has been a very impressive year for Jordan Spieth.

American world No 1 Jordan Spieth has been named as the PGA Tour's Player of the Year after a stellar 2014-15 campaign which included two major victories.

The 22-year-old landed the coveted honour after clinching the first two majors of the season - the Masters and US Open.

He then finished one shot off an Open play-off in July and was runner-up at the PGA Championship in August.

Spieth ended his campaign in glorious style with victory at the season-ending Tour Championship in Atlanta last week where he also clinched overall FedExCup playoff honours and the $10m jackpot.

"The PGA Tour enjoyed a sensational season from every perspective as our young stars shone brighter than ever before, but none brighter than the PGA Tour player of the year Jordan Spieth," PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem said.

"He captivated us throughout a memorable year that included the FedExCup and five victories, highlighted by two major championships. And the sportsmanship he displayed in both victory and defeat was a stirring indication of the role model and ambassador he has become in a very short period of time."

Spieth made 21 of 25 cuts on the PGA Tour, including four runner-up spots, as his earnings for the season ballooned to $22m because of the FedExCup bonus.

The award comes fresh on the back of Spieth picking up the PGA of America player of the year award and the Vardon Trophy for the lowest scoring average.

The Texan was the second youngest to capture both of these awards in the same year, following Tiger Woods who was 21 when he accomplished the feat in 1997.
