Dustin Johnson returns from injury at Wells Fargo Championship
Thursday 4 May 2017 18:47, UK
Dustin Johnson returns from injury to headline this week’s Wells Fargo Championship, with extended coverage live on Sky Sports.
Johnson hasn't featured since winning the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in March, having pulled out of the Masters just moments before his tee time with a back injury.
The world No 1 fell down the stairs on the eve of the tournament but is now ready to return in North Carolina and challenge for a fourth consecutive PGA Tour title.
History
This year's tournament moves 225 miles away from its usual home of Quail Hollow Club, which is being prepared to host this year's PGA Championship, to the Eagle Point Golf Club - which has never previously hosted a PGA Tour event.
James Hahn returns to the event as defending champion after defeating Roberto Castro in a play-off last year, with JB Holmes and Lucas Glover both back in the field in the list of former winners.
Two-time Quail Hollow champion Rory McIlroy doesn't feature this week, two years on from claiming a seven-shot triumph to register the biggest win in the tournament's history.
TV coverage
All four days will be broadcast live on Sky Sports 4 - your home of golf - with live coverage beginning from 7pm for the opening two rounds and 6pm over the weekend.
There's also live featured group coverage available for the opening two rounds, with the bonus action available from noon on Sky Sports 4.
