More than 76 per cent of skysports.com readers want Darren Clarke to be installed as Europe's next Ryder Cup captain.
Paul McGinley has already confirmed he will stand down after Europe's 16.5 - 11.5 victory over the USA at Gleneagles, while Clarke, who has played in six Ryder Cups and won it four times, has also revealed he would love to be considered for the role.
So far three-quarters of readers who have entered our online poll feel the 46-year-old is the right man to lead Europe at Hazeltine in two years' time.
The Northern Irishman, vice-captain at Medinah in 2012, has already been installed as Sky Bet's odds-on favourite to replace McGinley ahead of Thomas Bjorn (5/1), Padraig Harrington and Miguel Angel Jimenez, who are both 8/1 shots.
Meanwhile, the online bookmaker have also installed David Toms as 7/2 favourite to captain USA ahead of Jim Furyk and Steve Stricker (9/2) and Freddie Couples (5/1).
Phil Mickelson, who sparked controversy after criticising Tom Watson's captaincy at Gleneagles, is an 8/1 shot to take the reins in 2016 and 2/5 to play in the next renewal.
