Carn-age for our Di

A "drained" Di Stewart reports back from the Dunhill Links after taking on Carnoustie on Saturday.
For most of us amateurs it is a dream that will never come true, but for Di Stewart, Golf Night's presenter, the dream came true this week. At the Dunhill Links Championship on the European Tour, amateurs - some of them celebrities like our Di - tee it up with the professionals at St. Andrews, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie. Di is reporting back to Golf Night each night this week with a video blog, in which she tells us about the ups and downs of her rounds on some of the oldest and toughest courses in the world. Parterning Spaniard Alejandro Canizares, Di took on St. Andrews in her first round and after overcoming her nerves, she had a pretty eventful but ultimately successful round and she and Canizares handed in a seven-under par card. Trouble on the greens in the second round could not stop the pair hitting an impressive 12 under, setting them up nicely for round three at Carnoustie on Sunday. But despite another glorious day of Scottish sunshine, it almost proved too much for our Di, who admitted to being "emotionally and physically drained". Still, the prospect a glass of vino at the 19th soon put the smile back on her face!
