Course record for Fowler
Collated scores
England's Richard Finch shot a third-round 64 for a three-shot lead at the New Zealand Open in Queenstown.
Finch completed the outward nine in 31 before coming home in 33, boosted by birdies on the 17th and 18th.
The Hull-born 30-year-old is clear of Australian Steven Bowditch, the halfway leader who slipped back after a triple-bogey eight on the ninth.
Record
Australian Peter Fowler broke the course record - after Finch and Bowditch set it with earlier second round 65s - with a stunning 10-under 62.
He is in third place, four shots back heading into the final round on Sunday.
Finch told pgatour.com.au: "I hit the fairways, hit it as near to the pin on the green as I could then tried to give myself a chance to drop the putts in.
"I was looking at the leaderboard on the way round at about the 13th or 14th and thought that if I could press on over the last few holes and make a few birdies I could open up a bit of a lead."
Veteran
New Zealand's former British Open champion Bob Charles - who on Friday shot a 68 to become the oldest player to make the cut at a major worldwide tour event - again delighted the home galleries. He had a 71, matching his age.
