Blyth, Lam and Que also come through Asian qualifying tournament
Malaysian Danny Chia fired a second consecutive 69 to win Asia's qualifying tournament for the Open Championship on Wednesday.
Chia secured his place at Royal Birkdale in July, the second Open visit of his career, along with Australian Adam Blyth, Singapore's Lam Chih Bing and Angelo Que of the Philippines.
Chia finished on a -6 total of 138 to stand one clear of Blyth and two clear of Lam and Que who were forced fight it out with Japan's Tomohiro Kondo in a play-off for the remaining two spots of the four on offer.
Lam birdied the first extra hole to clinch his place, while Que and Kondo contested a further four holes before the Filipino drained a 40-foot birdie putt to see off his opponent.
Chia, who also qualified for the 2005 Open at St Andrews, admitted he struggled with his putter but was delighted to get the job done.
"I didn't putt well but I struck the ball good," he stated. "I played within myself and made two birdies coming back when I needed them the most.
"It's going to be very exciting to go back to The Open. It always feels good to be in the same event with the world's best golfers."
Blyth produced a near flawless 66 to recover from his opening 73 and secure the very first major appearance of his career.
"The putts just went in today," said the 26-year-old. "I played scrappy yesterday but managed to get myself into position this morning. I'm stoked to get into my first major."
Lam cut a hugely relieved figure after his play-off, adding: "I was so nervous and standing over the putt, my hands were just shaking. Thank God it's over. I can't wait to get back to the Open."
